RCMP have found the body of an Edmonton man sought by police in connection with charred human remains found in a garage two weeks earlier.

Dino Richard Kaz, 42, of Edmonton, was found dead in his pickup truck. The truck was located west of Edmonton near Evansburg.

Kaz was one of two men police were looking for in relation to a suspicious garage fire east of Edmonton on Dec. 19. Unidentified human remains were found in the rubble east of Sherwood Park. Police have said it will take weeks to ID the person.

Brent Abbott, 36, of Saskatoon, is still missing and sought by police in the case. He was described as a friend of Kaz's.

Evansburg RCMP were tipped off on Wednesday by a local landowner who reportedly spotted the green Ford F-150 pickup truck linked to the garage fire investigation.

The vehicle was located on a rural road about 40 km west of Evansburg, with Kaz's remains inside.

Investigators began to search for the green pickup that Kaz and Abbott both drove after a man's remains were discovered in a burnt-out garage in Strathcona County.

The property where the remains were discovered was known as a location that both Kaz and Abbott frequented.

Neither of the men have been seen since the garage fire. Kaz and Abbott were last seen one or two days before the fire, according to family and friends.
