Youths to stand trial in 2011 in double slaying

(CBC)Two teenage boys charged with first-degree murder will stand trial a year from now.
The teens, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are accused of killing Susan Trudel and Barry Boenke.
Trudel, 50, and Boenke, 68, were found dead on a rural property in Strathcona County on June 1, 2009.
Police said the boys had run away from the nearby youth treatment facility run by Bosco Homes.
The five-week trial has been set for September 2011. Both youths will be tried together by judge alone.
