Police say a 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the stabbing death of a man on McDougall Hill early Monday morning.

A passerby found the body of the 25-year-old man at about 2 a.m. MT on a landing halfway down the stairs leading into the river valley, next to the Hotel Macdonald.

An autopsy indicates the man died of a single stab wound.

In a written statement released on Saturday, police said a 15-year-old boy has been charged with second-degree murder and two weapons offences.

He is scheduled to appear in court on May 25.
