Winnipeg-born Kreviazuk, who trained as a classical pianist before becoming a popular singer, is to perform with the orchestra under the baton of young resident conductor Lucas Waldin.
Other special guest artists for the season include trumpeter Jens Lindemann, violinist Elmar Oliveira and the Canadian Tenors.
Music director Bill Eddins announced the ESO's 59th season on Monday, highlighting special events such as Cirque de la Symphonie, an acrobatic performance accompanied by the ESO playing Bach, Tchaikovsky and Saint-Saêns.
The season will include the popular Bugs Bunny at the Symphony program created by U.S. conductor George Daugherty. Three performances will highlight the LooneyTunes approach to classical music and opera, including jewels such as The Rabbit of Seville and What's Opera, Doc.
Another ESO special, Don't Eat the Yellow Snow, features the music of Frank Zappa.
The Masters classical series opens with Mozart's 5th Violin Concerto and Sibelius's 5th Symphony.
Other highlights of the season:
- Chopin's 1st Piano Concerto, to be performed in celebration of the composer's 200th birthday.
- Polish pianist Rafal Blechacz, winner of the Chopin competition in Warsaw.
- Beethoven's Eroica Symphony.
- Piano soloists Janina Fialkowska and Dubravka Tomsic.
- Mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke and tenor Bonaventura Bottone.
- Ewald Cheung on violin performing Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
More than 80 concerts are planned for the season.
