Mariam Makniashvili was last seen Sept. 14. (Toronto Police Service)RCMP say there is no evidence a missing young woman from Toronto is in Alberta or recently visited the province.
Earlier this month, Mounties looked into reports that Mariam Makniashvili, 18, was possibly seen in Grande Prairie.
There was also an earlier report that she was seen in October near Calgary.
Cpl. Wayne Oakes said police checked out both tips and they were false.
Makhniashvili was last seen by her family when she left for school with her brother Sept. 14.
Police never detected any evidence of foul play after searching for Makniashvili, who moved to Canada from the Republic of Georgia last summer and speaks little English.
