Two more men have been arrested in connection with an armed jewelry store robbery Sept. 7, Edmonton police said Tuesday.

Both are charged with unlawful confinement, as well as weapons charges and armed robbery charges.

The female clerk at R.K. Jewellers, at 92 Street and 34 Avenue, was struck several times with a handgun, then tied up before the jewelry was stolen, police said.

Police have said they believe the robbery is connected with the drug trade and an Indo-Canadian gang in Surrey, B.C.
