Stony Plain man swept away by wave in Mexico

Mexican authorities are searching for a Stony Plain, Alta., man who was swept away by a wave off Mexico's Pacific Coast.

Mexican authorities are searching for a Stony Plain, Alta., man who was swept away by a wave off Mexico's Pacific Coast.

The man has been identified as Robert Clark Dale, 51.

Civil protection officials say he was swimming near San Jose del Cabo on the Baja California peninsula around 2:50 p.m. Monday when he was pulled out to sea by a current.

Firefighters, life guards and two Mexican Navy vessels are participating in the search.

Police and other officials have met with Dale's relatives.
