Small fire breaks out at south Edmonton school
An investigation is underway after a small fire broke out in an office at Archbishop Joseph MacNeil School in south Edmonton.
Firefighters were called out around 3 a.m. Wednesday and were able to quickly contain the fire to one room.
Janitors at the school say there is also some water damage as the sprinkler system went off, leaving about an inch of water pooling in one part of the school.
Some of the school’s windows were also broken.
A daycare that operates out of the school is open and operating, however.
This is the latest in a rash of small fires in the area.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
