The community of Slave Lake is reeling after the death of two young children and their aunt in a highway crash last Thursday.
Eran Michaud, her sister-in-law Christine Michaud and Eran’s two sons and step daughter were in their car when it collided head-on with a truck on Highway 43 near Flatbush, Alberta.
Eran, who runs a day-home in Slave Lake, and her son Owen both survived.
Christine Michaud and the other two children —Trent, 2, and Hailie, 4 — all died in the crash.
The Michaud family had moved to Slave Lake from New Brunswick just six months ago.
