Remembrance Day activities in Edmonton
There will be more than a dozen Remembrance Day ceremonies taking place across the city on Monday.
While the two largest ceremonies will take place at City Hall and the University of Alberta Butterdome, several churches, legions and communities will be hosting their own ceremonies as well.
To help you plan your day, we’ve mapped out the major events for you.
If you see any we’ve missed, add it in the comments.
Monday transit changes
City bus and LRT service will be offered without charge to anyone dressed in military or legion regalia, and to people carrying either a Canadian Forces identification card or veteran’s card.
Transit lines will be running on a Saturday schedule, with most routes starting slightly earlier in the day than regularly scheduled. Some industrial and peak hour residential routes will run on the regular weekday schedules.
Schedule details are available online or by dialling BusLink at 780-496-1600 or 311.
