An 18-year-old has been arrested in the Red Deer death of Lloyd Sarson more than one year ago.
Sarson was found shot to death in a vehicle in an alley early New Year's Day 2013. He was shot in what police believed was a targeted attack.
Police issued a warrant within the week for the suspected killer, which they thought to be associated with an organized crime group with ties in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and British Columbia.
Police found the suspect at a Vancouver apartment last Thursday.
The teen, who was 17 at the time of the killing, is now charged with first-degree murder.
A second teen, also 18, was arrested at the same apartment for the April 4, 2013, killing of Nigel Dixon in Winnipeg.
