RCMP have found what they believe is a drug lab in Galahad, a village about 150 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.

On Wednesday, drug squads from Edmonton, Calgary and Killam executed a warrant at a house in the village.

They found two kilograms of N-phenethyl-4-piperidinone and 100 litres of benzaldehyde — chemicals used to make illegal drugs such as methamphetamines.

The 28-year-old man who lives in the home was arrested and charged with possession of chemicals used for the purpose of producing methamphetamine. He has been remanded into custody.
