RCMP investigating St. Albert house fire
Fire investigators and St. Albert RCMP are looking into a fire that sent one man to hospital early Saturday morning.
"The origins of the fire were not readily apparent to [the fire department]," said RCMP Cpl. Laurel Kading.
She says the fire started at a home near the corner of Oak Point and Otter Crescent in St. Albert.
Firefighters from the city and the nearby Morinville fire department were able to contain the blaze to the one home.
Kading says only one man was inside the house at the time, and was taken to hospital for examination.
"We believe he has been released from hospital," she said.
Investigators are now looking into the cause of the fire.
