Fort Saskatchewan RCMP have identified the human remains discovered in a burned-out white BMW.

An autopsy confirmed that Junior Morris Laidley, 38, was the man found in the car, police say.

Laidley was reported missing on Jan. 13 and his death is considered suspicious.

Police say the remains were discovered Jan. 10 in Lamont County on Township Road 572 between range roads 201 and 202.

Police are asking anyone with information about Laidley's activities on or after Jan. 4 to call them. That was the last day he had contact with friends.
