Rail worker injured in Boxing Day train accident out of hospital
2 workers remain in hospital
One of the workers hit by a train at a rail yard in Edmonton on Boxing Day has been released from hospital.
Three employees with A&B Rail Services were struck by a train while clearing snow from the track. Two suffered serious injuries.
The company now says one worker is recovering comfortably at home.
A&B says one employee still in hospital is there for monitoring and observation, and is in good condition.
The company did not provide the condition of the third employee, only to say that their thoughts and prayers are with his family.
A & B says a stop work order from Alberta Occupational Health and Safety was lifted for the company Friday, meaning employees are now back at work.
- A previous version of this story mistakenly stated that only one worker remained in hospital - A&B tells CBC News that only one of the workers has returned home. The story has been updated to reflect that fact.
