RCMP in Red Deer are looking for two men who they say tried to abduct a 16-year-old girl.

Police say the teen was walking along Glendale Boulevard around 5 p.m. on June 4 when a black or dark grey Chevrolet Avalanche drove by.

The truck then circled around and pulled up next to the teen. The two men inside then offered her a ride, which she refused.

At that point, police say the passenger got out of the truck and tried to force the girl into the vehicle.

The teen fought back, kicking him in the groin before running away, said police. The two suspects drove away.

Both men are described as Caucasian and in their mid-20s. The driver had a slight tan and was wearing a red hat with black lettering, white sunglasses and a dark shirt at the time of the incident.

The passenger who approached the girl was about six feet tall and muscular with dark hair and eyes, thick bushy eyebrows and a deep voice. Police say his face and hands were dirty and he had several sores around his left elbow. He was wearing a dark blue baseball hat with white logo, a white T-shirt, blue jeans and work boots.

The truck they were riding in had four doors and tinted windows, and also had a large scrape along the back passenger door near the gas cap.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
