Police investigate suspicious death in southeast Edmonton
Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman in southeast Edmonton.
Police were called to a house near 37th Avenue and 13th Street at approximately 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.
Staff Sgt. Bill Clark said the body was discovered inside the house.
"We're just speaking right now to individuals who live in the house and relatives of the person inside the house," he said. "Right now this appears, early indications are to be some type of domestic violence type incident."
Neighbour Irene Kumar says four people lived in the home: a couple in their 60s, their son in his 30s and his young child.
When she saw police arrive at the house this morning, she thought someone was sick. Then she saw the son.
"He's crying I come out... I ask him," she said. "When he told the story, I'm really shocked."
Police have not released the names or ages of the people involved.
