Two people badly hurt following chase and crash into lamp post
Edmonton police are looking for a 21-year-old man following a hit and run Wednesday night that left two people in hospital.
Police say a black pick-up truck was chasing a small car in the area of 142nd Avenue and 127th Street at about 10:30 p.m. when the people in the car, a 20-year-old man and 17-year-old girl, called 911.
A few blocks later, the truck hit the car, causing the driver to lose control and crash into a light post at 137th Avenue and 119th Street.
The truck drove away.
The girl is in stable condition with undetermined injuries, while the man is in critical but stable condition.
Police are now looking for Cory David Chalmers, who is facing charges of criminal negligence causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, and criminal hit and run.
Chalmers is 5’9," 170 lbs, with brown eyes, and blonde/brown hair and believed to be driving a black Dodge Ram truck that may have minimal damage.
