Pipeline clearcut irks Wolf Willow residents
River valley cutline to remain so pipeline can be monitored and maintained
Residents of a west Edmonton neighbourhood are unhappy with the clear cutting of a section of river valley.
A wide cutline was cut through the North Saskatchewan River valley in Wolf Willow over the winter to make way for a pipeline.
Residents are worried the clearcut will lead to further development.
Pipeline company Kinder Morgan assured them at a neighbourhood meeting Thursday the company will plant grass and shrubs along the cut line.
But as Laura Osman reports in the video, Kinder Morgan said the trees are gone for good.
