With Edmonton falling under a blanket of heavy snow and plows preparing to clear the streets, the city has put its winter parking ban in effect.
"We certainly understand that the parking ban may cause a temporary inconvenience for some residents," Bob Dunford, director of roadway maintenance, said in a release.
"But the removal of parked vehicles means that we are able to do the best job possible."
The city warns that the vehicles still parked along the banned routes after 7 a.m. Friday may be towed.
That ban will remain in effect until plowing is done.
More to come....
