One of two men wanted in connection with Friday’s attempted murder in Cold Lake has turned himself in.

The 23-year-old suspect turned himself in to Saskatoon RCMP around 3 p.m. Saturday, said Sgt. Brent Sawatzky with Cold Lake RCMP.

He has now been transferred back to the Cold Lake detachment and has been charged with attempted murder with a firearm.

The other suspect, 31, remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. RCMP believe he may be in Edmonton.

Sgt. Sawatzky said Cold Lake RCMP are working closely with Edmonton police to locate the second suspect.

RCMP said Friday that the suspects and victim were known to each other.

The suspect at large was last seen in a black Dodge Ram truck with Alberta licence plate BHW 2725. The truck has significant damage to its back end, said police.

Cold Lake is about 300 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.
