Murder charge laid in fatal stabbing
A 50-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a man who was stabbed outside Edmonton's George Spady Centre Sunday night.
Michael Anderson is also charged with possession of a weapon and possession of a narcotic.
Police found Michael Roach, 49, with life-threatening injuries when they responded to a call at 100th Street and 105A Avenue around 9 p.m. Sunday.
He died in hospital several hours later.
The medical examiner determined Roach died from a stab wound.
Anderson is scheduled to appear in court later this week.
