Murder charge laid in death of Evansburg man

An 67-year-old Evansburg man is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Benjamin Kravetz, 61, who was found dead in September

RCMP have made an arrest in the death of a Evansburg man who went missing in September.

Benjamin Kravetz, 61, was last seen alive on Sept. 9th. His body was found in the Lobstick River two weeks later.

An autopsy revealed that he had been shot.

A 67-year-old man from Evansburg was arrested on Thursday and charged with second-degree murder and offering an indignity to a body.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Evansburg provincial court on Feb. 11.
