Morinville woman charged after boy struck in crosswalk
A 35-year-old woman faces two charges under the Traffic Safety Act after a boy was struck in a crosswalk Thursday morning.
The incident occurred near Morinville Public Elementary School between 8:10 and 8:15 a.m.
The boy, 8, was not hurt but did receive medical attention to ensure that everything was fine.
Earlier Thursday, RCMP sent out a news release seeking a grey or silver minivan driven by a woman with dark hair.
The woman, who was not named in the news release, is charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian and failing to remain at the scene of an accident under the Traffic Safety Act.
