A baseball bat may have been used to kill an Edmonton man in his home, police say.

Edmonton police said Tuesday they're looking for a wood bat with red tape around the handle that's missing from Robert Brodyk's home.

Brodyk, 56, was found in the doorway of his home Nov. 1 after his family had not heard from him in a few days. Police said he died from blunt force trauma.

Investigators said the bat has an oval logo on the side and may be the weapon used in the killing.

They also said Brodyk's blue pickup truck, which also went missing before its recovery on the weekend, had been parked at a church lot near 130th Avenue and 81st Street on the same day his body was found.

Police are asking the public to call them if they saw the truck or knowthe location of thebaseballbat.
