Man hurt in hit and run dies in hospital

A 25-year-old man who was critically injured in a hit and run in downtown Edmonton on Monday has died.

A 25-year-old man who was critically injured in a hit and run in downtown Edmonton on Monday has died.

The man from Wabasca was hit by a white van near 105 Avenue and 102 Street around 1:30 a.m.  Police say he was dragged several metres.

The van was abandoned and located a few blocks away. Investigators are now searching for the driver.

Police say this is the 25th traffic fatality of the year.
