Man faces 164 charges after forged documents found

An Edmonton man faces 164 charges after police found forged documents including birth certificates, driver's licences, credit cards and passports in late February

An Edmonton man faces 164 charges after police found forged documents including birth certificates, driver’s licences, credit cards and passports at a home in the Oliver neighbourhood.

Police executed a search warrant on Feb. 22 at a residence located near 101st Avenue and 121st Street.

There they found documents from 120 individuals and businesses. Police allege that the 27-year-old man used as many as 22 aliases.

The accused faces charges which include forgery, possession of a stolen credit card, possession of the instruments for counterfeiting, possession of the instruments for forgery and obtaining and possessing identity information.
