One man is dead after a Saturday morning house fire in west Edmonton.

The fire broke out at 9230 156th Street at about 6:30 a.m. MT.

The body of a man in his 60s was discovered in the basement after the fire was put out. Two other occupants in the house managed to escape after the smoke detectors were activated.
