Man critically injured in drive-by shooting dies
One of the two men shot in a bizarre series of events in northeast Edmonton Monday night has died.
Sultanbek Abdymamat Uulu, 22, died in hospital Wednesday morning.
Abdymamat Uulu was inside a bullet-riddled SUV that pulled up to the scene of another shooting near 113A Street and 136th Avenue.
Paramedics treated him at the scene for a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Police said the SUV carrying four people was shot at five or six times. No one else was injured.
A case of rounds was found at 94th Street and 132nd Avenue. Police say the two shootings were not related.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place on Thursday morning.
The 48-year-old man who was shot in the other incident is in stable condition in hospital.
