Man charged with first-degree murder in Red Deer
Red Deer RCMP has charged a 30-year-old with first-degree murder in the death of Curtis Leroy Rangen.
Rangen, 43, was was found dead on May 3 by someone doing a welfare check at his home.
An autopsy later determined the cause of death to be homicide.
Following an extensive investigation, in which Red Deer RCMP received assistance from the "K" Division Major Crimes Unit and Kamloops RCMP, the suspect was brought into police custody Wednesday.
The alleged killer will remain in custody and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court next week.
