Man charged over Mill Woods explosives
A 33-year-old Edmonton man is facing numerous charges for the production and detonation of home-made explosive devices in a Mill Woods school yard earlier this month.
Police went to Ecole Frere Antoine Elementary School on Saturday, June 2 after receiving complaints about explosions in the field.
Two days later a man was arrested walking down Mill Woods Road while carrying a backpack containing chemicals that could be used to make explosives, said police.
The man will appear in court June 28 on charges of possession of an explosive substance, cause of an explosive substance, placing or throwing an explosive substance, making explosive substances and breach of duty.
