Man charged in Edmonton's first homicide of 2014

A 36-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in Edmonton’s first homicide of 2014.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in Edmonton’s first homicide of 2014.

Allan Douglas Waquan, 52, was pronounced dead in hospital on New Year’s Day, shortly after police were called to a condominium at 103rd Avenue and 111th Street around 8 a.m.

Although an autopsy was performed on Friday, the medical examiner is awaiting toxicology results before determining the cause of death.
