Man, 32, hurt in crash after Edmonton police chase
A 32-year-old Ontario man is in intensive care after a crash during a police chase late last night north of the Edmonton downtown area.
Patrol officers attempted to stop a car with an incorrect licence plate near 93rd Street and 120th Avenue.
The car pulled over to let a man out, before speeding way from police.
Officers called in the police helicopter to take over the chase once the car was located speeding west on 122nd Avenue and 104th Street.
The chase continued eastbound on Yellowhead Trail before exiting onto 97th Street.
The car lost control, struck a concrete barrier, and crashed into the back of a dump truck and trailer involved in snow removal operations.
Police believe alcohol was involved.
