An 82-year-old man was struck by an LRT train on the south line Monday morning.

The man was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, said police

The incident happened at 11:15 a.m. near 57th Avenue on 111th Street.

The avenue was closed to traffic for a number of hours, while LRT trains continued to operate using the opposite track.
