Local group campaigns to give Rossdale plant a facelift
Rossdale ReGeneration hosted a walking tour on Saturday to drum up interest in their cause
A local group is hoping to turn the de-commissioned Rossdale power plant into something that Edmontonians can use and enjoy.
The plant has been sitting empty since it shut down in 2009. Now, Rossdale ReGeneration want the city’s help to turn the building into a museum or micro-brewery, coffee shops or a market.
The group hosted a walking tour on Saturday to encourage other Edmontonians to join their cause.
CBC’s Laura Osman joined the tour to hear more about the group's vision for the future of the plant.
