Kerry Diotte takes a run at federal politics
Former Edmonton councillor to vie for new north Edmonton riding of Griesbach
Failed mayoral candidate Kerry Diotte is taking a shot at federal politics announcing a campaign for the Conservative Party of Canada nomination for the new north Edmonton riding of Griesbach.
"Pleased to announce I'm seeking Tory #cpc nomination in new federal riding of #yeg #Edmonton Griesbach," he announced this afternoon on Twitter.
Diotte, a one-term city councillor and former city columnist with the Edmonton Sun, finished a distant third in last fall's race for the mayor's chair.
