RCMP are hoping to find the owner of an injured dog that was struck near the car wash in Clairmont, Alta. on Sunday night.

Police were called by someone who was caring for the dog and hoped to have it returned to its home.

The female dog is described as being between 10 and 12 years old, possibly a shih-tzu in breed. The animal has a green collar with no tags.

A veterinarian determined that the dog sustained only minor injuries.

Anyone with information about the dog or its owner is asked to call Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5700.
