A second complaint of illegal lobbying against the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers has been dismissed by Alberta's registrar of lobbyists.

The Alberta Federation of Labour accused CAPP of illegally lobbying officials from Alberta Environment and Alberta Energy by seeking their cooperation in producing a public relations campaign on the controversial issue of fracking.

The AFL had previously made a similar complaint, which had been dismissed by registrar Bradley Odsen.

He dismissed the second complaint after finding the AFL had not, as it claimed, uncovered "new evidence" of illegal lobbying in documents obtained through Freedom of Information.
