RCMP have found human remains at the Aquatera Waste Management site in Grande Prairie.

Officers have been searching since Tuesday for the remains of Courtney Johnstone, a 26-year-old woman they believe was the victim of homicide.

The discovery was made around 10 a.m. Saturday by officers with the Special Tactical Operations team.

An autopsy will be performed this week to identify the remains.

Johnstone, 26, was reported missing by family and friends on Jan. 30.

A 21-year-old Grande Prairie man is charged with first-degree murder in her death.
