A young man who died on Christmas Eve on the Samson Cree Nation in Hobbema, Alta., may be the town's second homicide of 2010, RCMP said Monday.

The teenager, who will not be named until an autopsy is done, was found and pronounced dead in the early evening, police said in a news release.

Officers from the RCMP Maskwacis detachment in Hobbema, along with a canine team, responded to a complaint of shots being fired in a residential area.

No arrests have been made.

An autopsy is set for Tuesday.

The death is the second suspected homicide in Hobbema.

A teenager from the community was charged with second-degree murder after a man was found dead early Dec. 10 at his home on the Ermineskin First Nation.
