A teenager found dead in the Samson Cree Nation in Hobbema, Alta., on Dec. 24 died from gunshot wounds, the RCMP said Tuesday.

Preston Thom, 15, was the second person killed in Hobbema recently.

The medical examiner determined the cause of death after an autopsy.
