The fire, which destroyed one home and damaged two others, sent 13 people fleeing into the street early Monday morning. (CBC)

The house fire that forced over a dozen people to flee their homes in Mill Woods was deliberately set, according to investigators.

The fire destroyed the house on 29th Avenue and 41st Street early Monday morning. Nine people were inside the home at the time, and another four had to escape the house next door, which received exterior damage.

No one was injured in the fire.

Fire Rescue investigators say police will now be working on the case.

The fire caused an estimated $1.2 million of damage.
