The Edmonton Eskimos 50/50 ticket from last Friday’s game — worth almost $72,000 — has gone unclaimed.
The Eskimos have now asked the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission permission to add the $71,732 prize to the 50/50 jackpot at the Eskimos next home game.
Eskimos President Len Rhodes predicts the jackpot will be a big one.
“It’s always a great fan favourite, when you start the jackpot potentially at $71,000,” said Eskimos president Len Rhodes. “I think we’re going to have more than double as a potential jackpot. I wouldn’t be surprised if it approached $200,000.”
The Eskimos will face the Calgary Stampeders at Commonwealth Stadium on July 24.
