Elderly man hit by vehicle in northwest Edmonton

Police are investigating after an elderly man was struck by a vehicle while walking in northwest Edmonton Sunday afternoon.

Police are investigating after an elderly man was struck by a vehicle while walking in northwest Edmonton Sunday afternoon.

Police say the man was taken to hospital in serious condition.

Traffic investigators have shut down the scene of the crash near 135th Street and 111th Avenue while they work.

Some witnesses told police that road conditions may have been a factor in the collision.
