Edmontonians search for signs of spring

Edmontonians woke to a cold surprise Friday morning, with temperatures bottoming out to -18 C at 7 a.m. When will it end?

Winter weather, go away

Edmontonians woke to a cold surprise Friday morning, with temperatures bottoming out to -18 C at 7 a.m.

Normal lows for this time of year are typically around -6 degrees, according to Environment Canada.

Those hoping for a return to the spring-like weather Edmonton were enjoying in mid-March won't have to hold out much longer – temperatures are supposed to climb steadily through next week.

And if that isn't enough, CBC's Arsyl Villoya caught this shot of geese returning to our city early Friday morning.
