Edmonton unleashes pit bull breeds
City council removes licensing restrictions
Staffordshire bull terriers and American Staffordshire terriers in Edmonton no longer need to be leashed and muzzled whenever off their owners' property or kept chained or in pens while on their owners' property.
And owners no longer face higher licence fees and fines, or require $1 million in liability insurance.
As Travis Dhanraj reports, for the first time in 25 years pit bulls can run free in off-leash areas after city council removed licensing restrictions Thursday.
