Edmonton seasonal parking ban ends

Edmonton's second seasonal parking ban of this winter ends Friday afternoon.

Edmonton's seasonal parking ban will be lifted Friday afternoon at 3 p.m.

The ban has been in place since Thursday morning to allow road workers to clear collector bus routes.

"I want to thank the crews for working so hard around the clock, and thank those who complied with the parking ban and helped make our jobs easier," the city's director of roadway maintenance Bob Dunford said in a release.

Crews will now continue with the normal snow removal schedule, plowing and sanding priority routes as necessary.

The city is also planning to begin windrow removal in school zones on Monday. There will be temporary parking restrictions where those crews are working.
