Homicide detectives in Edmonton are investigating two separate stabbing deaths this morning.

Officers are at the scene of the Travelodge motel on 45th Avenue, between Gateway Boulevard and Calgary Trail, where a 26-year-old man was attacked at around 2:45 a.m.

Witness told police a scuffle between several males broke out in the parking lot of a nearby nightclub, ending with the stabbing in the motel parking lot.

The suspects fled the scene in a white Ford F-150 truck.

The second case involves a suspicious death that occurred in a parking lot of a convenience store near 107th Avenue and 104th Street last night where police were called to a weapons complaint.

It appears there was a fight between two men with one being stabbed.
