Edmonton man charged with attempted murder
One man is in hospital and another is in custody, charged with attempted murder, after a stabbing in Edmonton's south side Saturday,.
At about 12:30 p.m., police said, a man suffering from serious injuries stumbled up to a homeowner working in his yard near 107 Avenue and Hardistry Drive. The injured man collapsed and the homeowner called 911.
The 28-year-old victim was rushed to hospital, where he remained Sunday in serious but stable condition, suffering from several stab wounds.
Michael Hancock, 23, was arrested Saturday. He has been charged with attempted murder, illegal possession of a weapon and robbery.
The victim and the accused are known to each other and incident isn't believed to be drug- or gang-related.
