Edmonton constable charged with impaired driving
Edmonton police have charged an officer with impaired driving.
Police allege Const. Kelly Fradley was driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 while off-duty on Nov. 18.
The charges were laid on Wednesday following an investigation by the Professional Standards Branch of the Edmonton Police Service.
A news release states Fradley is "currently not assigned to operational policing."
It does not explain why it took nearly two months to lay charges.
Police are making no further comment because the case is before the courts.
